tony gonzalez-3-831x1024Anthony David Gonzalez (born February 27th 1977) was a former American football tight end who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 17 seasons. Gonzalez is considered one of the top tight ends in the history of football. Gonzalez holds the NFL's record in receiving yards and receptions for a tight end. Furthermore, he ranks third overall in receptions. Gonzalez was chosen in the first round of the Kansas City Chiefs. He played his first 12 seasons with the team. He also played for the Atlanta Falcons for five of the final seasons. Gonzalez retired in 2013, was an analyst for NFL on Prime Video. Prior to this, he worked at CBS Sports, Fox Sports, and Fox Sports. Gonzalez also received six All-Pro honors. Gonzalez was famous for his toughness and ability to avoid fumbling. He appeared in 272 games during the regular season and only fumbled twice with 1,327 touches. In 2019 Gonzalez was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
